I didn’t say you did. I was referring to this thread. We agree about the role of government. And since you’ve never even been to SF but you’re commenting here, I can tell you most of the wealth in SF and in the Bay Area primarily isn’t from the government. It’s from tech and Silicon Valley. Tech entrepreneurs are responsible for a lot of it, but there’s also the wealth from tourism to the vineyards and the vineyards themselves, wealth from retirees who live in quite a few of the suburbs in the North/East Bay already mentioned, and wealth from a variety of other non-government sources. The Bay Area has bad areas, but unlike Memphis, Shreveport, Corpus Christi or St. Louis, it also has a high preponderance of the wealthiest and safest cities in the country, too, and these cities aren’t clustered – they’re distributed throughout the Bay. In a high population area located in the highest population state, you’re going to get a mix of everything. Kind of like the microclimates.
